Ms. Tammy Lim is a passionate and talented musician with a deep love for music. From a young age, she discovered the beauty of music – how music can empower and echo with everyone life. Since then, she dedicated herself in honing her musical skills, and sharing her passion in music with others.

 

Ms. Tammy's musical journey was not all rainbows and sunshine. With a strong belief in work ethic and her innate talent, only she able to become who she is today. Her unwavering commitment led her to pursue a Master's degree in Piano Performance from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, under the guidance of the renowned Prof. Richard Ormrod. Prior to her Master's degree, Ms. Tammy got a first-class honours in Bachelor of Performing Arts (Music), guided by prestigious Dr. Kim Bo-Kyung. This provided her with a comprehensive understanding of the intricacies and nuances of various musical styles.

 

Ms. Tammy's expertise in music extend beyond performance. She actively participated in teachers training and served as a judge in music competitions, offering valuable insights to aspiring musicians. Her effort in education were recognized by many educational parties,

earning her the Malaysia Influential Educator award in 2022.

 

Currently serving as the Artistic Director at J Music Studio, Ms. Tammy not only cultivated an environment for musical excellence in the studio, but also nurtured a group of talented students under her care. Her exceptional teaching skills have yielded remarkable results. One of her student achieved “Top Scorer” in Malaysia for the LTCL Piano Performance Diploma in2022.

 

In addition to her teaching and performance endeavours, Ms. Tammy has achieved notable success in various international competitions and festivals. She was the runner-up in the 13th HK (Asia Pacific) Piano Competition and the second runner-up in the AIPAF (Korea) Music Festival. Her exceptional talent and skill have been recognized globally.

 

Tammy's musical prowess has taken her to esteemed venues worldwide. In 2016, she was invited as a guest performer at Steinway & Sons in London, where she showcased her artistry on their renowned pianos.

 

Tammy's ultimate aspiration is to inspire and bring out the musicality in every individual she encounters. Through her teaching, performances, and educational contributions, she aims to foster a deep appreciation for classical music, and thus inspiring more people to embrace its beauty and significance.
